Honoka Tsuji's BASKETBALL Dreams Get Shattered After Suffering Serious Injury
Remember how Honoka Tsuji revealed her past interest in basketball. But what just happened, I bet nobody saw it coming.
If you’ve been following her social media lately, you’ve probably seen her showing off her ball game in the basketball videos… the speed, the footwork, the confidence. Honestly, she looked incredible out there. But at the same time, there was always this lingering thought in the back of my mind, Why is she moving like that in flip-flops?
It looked reckless. Fun, yes. Impressive, absolutely. But also dangerously one bad landing away from disaster. And so the worst happened.
Honoka revealed on X that she suffered a serious injury during a basketball practice on May 3. At first, she thought it was “just a sprain” and assumed she’d recover in a few weeks. But after finally going to the hospital, the diagnosis turned into something far more devastating.

Apparently, she had a complete tear of the medial-lateral ligament. Not just that, but even the tear of the anterior cruciate ligament.
A fracture. A meniscus tear. In other words, almost everything that could go wrong in a knee did.
When I read the tweet, even I winced. For someone who loves the game so much, this is a serious injury. Doctors reportedly told her recovery could take “about a year after surgery.” And suddenly, all the momentum she had been building came to a halt.
Because let’s be honest, Honoka was up to something. We all knew, and it was only a matter of time before she made it.

Her basketball clips had started circulating widely. Fans who normally wouldn’t care about sports were suddenly fascinated by this JAV actress who could actually ball. But then, the unfortunate happened.
She’s already had to cancel all upcoming work. Photo sessions planned for July are gone. Production schedules have collapsed. Honoka even went on to publicly apologize to agencies, production companies, fans, and even her basketball teammates for the trouble and disappointment caused by the cancellations.
But hidden inside that apology was something heavier. She admitted she had already once stepped away from basketball because of an injury. And just as she finally felt ready to “give it another shot”… fate hit her again.
And you can feel the frustration in her words. But here’s what surprised me most about her statement: she never once sounded defeated. In fact, quite the opposite.
She openly said she still wants to become successful both as a basketball player and as an actress. Even now. Even after an injury, most people would describe it as career-shattering.
“I realized how much I truly love basketball,” she explained, adding that the injury also made her recognize how deeply she values her work as an actress.
It’s quite evident that instead of dwelling on regret, she says she’s focusing on two things now: “how to recover as soon as possible” and “how not to repeat the same mistakes.” And honestly? That mentality might be the reason fans are rallying around her so strongly right now.

Airi Kijima Parts Ways With Her Talent Agency, Plans To Step Away Completely From JAV
On May 9th, the actress, who officially announced her retirement from JAV last December but somehow never truly disappeared, made another major announcement. And honestly? Even I didn’t see this one coming.
Airi Kijima revealed that she is leaving the agency that has managed her for years and, more significantly, stepping away entirely from the career that she has built since 2011.
Airi admitted that her journey wasn’t made up only of “happy and joyful moments,” but also “days filled with pain, regret, and unstoppable tears.” There were times, she confessed, when she wanted to stop altogether and give up.
And yet, somehow, she stayed.
“It was thanks to the fans who have always supported the colleagues I worked with and me,” she explained, crediting the people around her for carrying her through the hardest periods of her career.
What struck me most was the way she spoke about the identity she built over the past decade. “Before I knew it, the name ‘Airi Kijima’ had taught me the meaning of life…” That line lingered with me.
And perhaps that’s why her decision sounds so difficult.

“The decision to let it all go wasn’t easy,” she admitted, explaining that she now wants to pause, reflect, and seriously think about what she wants from the rest of her life.
There’s something strangely heavy about hearing that from someone who, on the surface, seemed to be doing perfectly fine.
After all, even after retiring from JAV, Airi Kijima remained remarkably active. She launched a fan club, maintained a steady schedule of appearances, and built the kind of social media presence most influencers would envy. With 1.35 million followers on X and events lined up almost every weekend between April and May, there was no obvious sign of decline.
Even her relationship with her agency, DUO Entertainment, appeared healthy. In fact, shortly after her announcement, the agency released a heartfelt statement thanking her for her contributions over the years, and notably, it didn’t feel cold or corporate.
Which makes this departure feel even more real.
とても長い時間、嬉しい笑顔も悔し涙も一番近くで見て来ましたが、大きな決意を持って臨んだ今日のステージに立つ姿が一番輝いていました。

According to Airi, once she completes the work she’s already committed to, she plans to step away completely. Whether that means deleting her social media, shutting down her paid fan club, or simply disappearing quietly remains unclear.
But one thing seems certain, We won’t be seeing much of Airi Kijima for a while.
And maybe that’s what makes this announcement hit harder than most. There’s no chaos here. No controversy. Just someone choosing herself after spending over a decade being “Airi Kijima” for everyone else.
For many fans, her performances, music, and her persona will remain tied to some of the best memories of the past decade. And honestly, I think she knows that too.
So now, all that’s left is the strange silence that follows a goodbye you weren’t emotionally prepared for.
And somewhere beyond that silence, Airi Kijima begins figuring out who she wants to be next.
