Excellent question. A dedicated device nowadays is a must. There are quite a few options, but to avoid overwhelming oneself, going with the Quest2 may be a safe bet.

Totally. Among other types of alternative payments, credit cards, etc. As I noted on Twitter, this is more Jonestown for one specific site than anything industry-wide.
