While the smiles in the header may indicate otherwise, JAV actors are pretty much at the bottom of a set's hierarchy. Maybe the only one lower would be a new hire AD. A-rank actors like Shimiken may have some clout, but not as much as they give off in interviews. Fans want to see beautiful women having beautifully shot sex; some actors are just better than others at working to achieve this outcome.

VIPD-386 looks like it was made by MediaBank. While they aren't out of business, all their new releases appear like older movies just being re-released again and again. It's possible Rio requested a delisting, but most likely it's gone more due to clerical error than anything else.

If an actress looks exotic in some way, the studio will capitalize on that. We're working on a movie starring a 'half Thai' model down the line. Full-blooded Japanese going by social media comments.

I don't think her being mixed has anything to do with it. It's possible a lot of her fame was from foreigners and back when she was active, it was harder for them to buy her works.

I've never been a huge gyaru fan, but I've always liked AIKA. We've had internal discussions about this and while it may be possible she had light face work done, I at least think we're just talking cosmetic out-patient procedures, nothing 'under the knife'. She's a natural beauty who looked great in her 20's and is aging gracefully now in her 30's. I hope to see her remain in front of the camera for many years to come.
